Emma has been working as a chef for over 21 years. Working in London, New York, Sydney, Melbourne and in her local area of Byron Bay.
Completing her apprenticeship with some of Australia’s top chefs like Christine Mansfield and Yanni Kyritsis. After her apprenticeship, she moved to London to work with chef Fergus Henderson at St John’s. Known for his eccentric use of strange ingredients such as offal, wild game birds and Razor clams. To enrich her love of seafood, Emma moved to Cornwall to work at Rick Stein’s, The Seafood Restaurant.
After four years overseas, Byron Bay started calling Emma home. She opened her own a restaurant called Wild About Food. Gaining a local following and 14/20 in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide.
Emma also had a summer stint in The Hamptons, New York, where she cooked for an influential banking family. Providing fancy dinner parties for the parents and their friends, as well as the tricky challenge of getting their children to eat vegetables, …by making it fun for them!
After eleven years of working in the restaurant world, Emma began working as a Personal Chef at an exclusive health retreat in the Byron Bay area, focussing on high-end healthy diets. Catering to international high profile individuals, many who have complex food allergies, weight loss to serious health issues. Special diets have to be designed, under the guidance of doctors, keeping it within the clients taste palate.
Emma has honed her skills of many years of fine dining cooking, adjusting it and creating her own techniques to provide a more healthy cooking style…that is super tasty! Book Chef
