At a young age, Luke was destined for a life of culinary experiences. As a 15-year-old, being one of the youngest to be selected because of his gunning enthusiasm, he was accepted into his first taste of hospitality kitchen operations. Upon successful completion, Luke continued his education, and nonetheless pursued his career and started his apprenticeship where he won ‘Apprentice Chef of the Year’ in his first year, furthermore becoming a finalist in the Apprentice of the Year State Awards, and the only chef for all of the trades in South Australia. This motivated Luke throughout his education to continue into University whilst working as a chef in Adelaide’s best restaurants, where he is completing a double degree in education, with the aim of opening his very own private cookery school to combine his trade, with his degree.
Luke focused in the later years of his apprenticeship in fine dining, honing his skills and mastering his knowledge. Luke moved to Sydney to further his knowledge, passion and motivation, working as an Operations Manager for a firsthand franchise in multiple states, catering, and consulting. In 2016, Luke has moved back home to Adelaide to pursue his dream of feeding the masses with restaurant quality food, in modern, quick and effective ways, where he is now the owner/operator of ‘Twisted Palate Group’ specialising in real street food, with a twist, all inside his mobile commercial kitchen. Luke pays particular attention to quality produce and exceptional plating. Coming to you and working on location to make entertaining an easy and efficient occasion.
