Having completed a degree in Product Design prior to becoming a chef, Sam had a keen eye for detail and style even before setting foot in the kitchen. Following the end of his university degree, Sam decided to follow his passion for food and immediately took a job as a commis in a fine dining kitchen. From that moment on, he knew he wanted to be a chef and over the course of the next four years, he learnt his trade in some of the toughest yet most rewarding one and two Michelin star kitchens in London, under some heavy hitting names, such as Phil Howard, Nuno Mendes, Alyn Williams & Shay Cooper.
Sam always knew that he wanted to travel the world and work in another country to see how the food scene differs globally and so at the start of 2019, he chose Sydney as his new home. Currently working in a fine dining restaurant here in the heart of Sydney’s CBD as one of the senior chefs, he looks to gain extra experience and have ultimate freedom and creativity with what he puts on the plate.
