Doreen de Graaf

Doreen was born in the Netherlands and moved to Australia when she was very young. She finished her TAFE degree in commercial cookery then started to work in the hospitality industry.

She gained a lot of experience working in different cafes and then moved to Crown Perth to become Head Chef of the breakfast operation in the Atrium. She was in charge of the busy breakfast buffet with 10 staff working with her. Doreen stayed in Crown for over 10 years and then moved to a newly opened 6 star aged care facility in High Wycombe, a suburb near Perth where she was Sous Chef. After 2 years she had the opportunity to become the head chef at Cafe Mimosa in Subiaco, a busy lunch bar/cafe within the business district.

Doreen now works with Chef Marco in is kitchen in Bassendean as Sous Chef and has also been working as a private chef on the weekends for the last 2 years.
