Taste Food Festival Melbourne caters to foodies far and wide
Jun 14, 2019

Over ten years ago, The Taste Festival was born in London’s Somerset house, although not in the same venue – it still runs today with more stars and stripes than a military veteran.

Taste Festivals are now held in 22 cities worldwide and for the curious foodie we cannot think of a better place to be!

Held across 4 days in Melbourne from the 12th-15th November, leading restaurants and the who’s who of top Melbourne chefs will be boasting taste size plates for all you keen to sample food fanatics.

Melbourne Taste Festival, come to mention it any Taste Festival represents one thing, Heaven for a foodie! A stunning display, brought together in the celebration of a true food lovers city.

World famous chefs and a plethora of taste size plates served amongst Melbourne’s top establishments. Pair this with the finest beverages, quality entertainment and the infectious charm that Melbourne boasts so well and you would struggle not to show face!

We are here to provide the lowdown of who, what and where. Our aim is get you as excited as we are, purely because you should be!

Imagine hand picking dishes from Melbourne’s top restaurants, Circa, Mo vida, Pei Modern, The Royal Mail Hotel, South Africa’s Five Hundred, Milk the cow and many more. Well that’s exactly what Taste Melbourne will allow you to do.

Surrounded by like minded foodies, tended to by the best of the best, this really is a diners dream.

Live entertainment will be held around Albert Park, as will numerous interactive food demonstrations and attractions. The streets themselves are teaming with foodies who feel the joy as if it were Christmas, the atmosphere is as tantalising as the Chefs creations themselves.

All this delicious food will need washing down with something as worthy as the thoroughfare you will be gorging yourself with.

Asahi have you covered. Matching food with beers is a current trend we highly suggest latching onto. Asahi will be teaming up with Supernormal to allow you to match a cold frosty with some vibrant Asian cuisine.

Bunderberg Rum will be boasting their Distillatorium, unfolding the story of the 126 years in which ‘Bundy Rum’ has been produced.

The Wine society will be educating those parched enough to find them, with interactive classes hosted by Wine guru Ben Knight.

Bass and Flinders distillery will be hosting a Gin master class, where guests can produce their very own gin from arange of Bass and Flinders vapour infused botanicals.

Really what we have shared above is just a small piece of the pie, Taste Melbourne is far too impressive and far too exciting to describe in one post alone.

The only way to find out if we are telling the truth when say how damn amazing it is, is to book a flight, or grab some friends and go and find out for yourself.

What has you hungry with excitement about this year’s Taste Melbourne festival?

We would love to hear your comments and share your enthusiasm
