Pimenton, Spanish for ‘better than Paprika’, Ok so that’s not entirely true but Pimenton is a very fine strain of the paprika family. The most sought after Pimenton comes from the La Vera region of Spain, where the mild yet rainy climate is perfect for the growth of the finest peppers.
Pimenton consists of Peppers and chillies that are smoke dried over slow burning Oakwood. This delicious spice is found in many Spanish Chorizos, cured meats and blends well to authentic Spanish cooking of any sort.
