Born in Jeju island in Korea in 1984, Caleb’s first experience of cooking was at Dongguk university restaurant in Kyongju working as a kitchen hand. He went to Seoul to learn more about cooking working at local restaurants.

Hungry to learn more and gain experience in world class kitchens Caleb moved to Australia to study commercial cookery at Le Cordon Bleu. He then went on to work at Justin North’s Becasse and finished his “IP” at Neil Perry’s Spice Temple. Caleb moved to Moss Vale to work with chef Twan Wijers at Katers restaurant for 3 years, then came back to Sydney worked for chef Conor Plunkett at Stix catering.

Caleb’s cooking is influenced by Asia especially Japan, China, and Korea. Caleb will serve you unique and tasty Asian flavors with a twist of French technique.

From the beginning to the end Caleb and the staff were polite, courteous, helpful and knowledgable. Caleb and the staff turned up on time, and helped us to organise our party so we could surprise the birthday boy (Jono) for his 40th bday.

The food was an easy 10/10 and delighted all my ‘foodie’ guests and hard to please husband, in a delightful 3 course meal.

The wait staff was well versed on the wines I was serving that evening, and was attentive and ensured our guests had a drink and full water glasses.

The icing on the cake was that, when I came inside after dinner, EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN and spotless in my kitchen 😉 Ahhhh that was amazing!

I would have At Your Table back to my home or recommend to friends at any time!

Chef Caleb’s food was exceptional. So tasty and of a very high quality.. He wasn’t really able to adapt to the more banquet/shared style we requested, and we found he simply put all the portions in the middle to then be served. It may as well have just been served up in individual portions then as I gather this is more his style. Having said that, it was so delicious, we didn’t mind this. I also requested a big salad to be shared, he ended up just putting some rocket as a base for another dish – in short he wasn’t very adaptable, but as I said, that didn’t matter in the end because he totally delivered in flavour, presentation and he was professional and a pleasure to have cook for us.
